At Segen Von Gott, we believe German Shepherds are more than dogs—they are blessings. Based in Marietta, Ohio, our program is built on faith, purpose, and a deep respect for the breed. Every puppy is raised with care, intention, and a commitment to excellence.

We prioritize the well-being and soundness of our dogs through responsible breeding practices that preserve the breed’s intelligence, strength, and loyal temperament. Our goal is to produce companions that are not only beautiful and capable—but also healthy and free from genetic concerns.

Here at Segen Von Gott German Shepherds we put extra special time in the development of our puppies and dogs. We complete ENS stimulation & Volhard testing on each puppy. They receive full sensory development and early socialization. They will receive restraint handling, sight and sound sensitivity, and ESI (early scent introduction).

We do complete health testing on parents including hips, elbows, cardiac, and Embark or Gensol health panel. Our dogs all go through training to accomplish as much as possible. Each dog will accomplish up to advanced obedience and CGCU titles. Some will advance further in things such as scent work and tracking, obedience and rally, therapy, and even service work. Our dogs excel in therapy and service work due to our breeding standards. We choose only to breed dogs that meet certain criteria, not just certain looks. We are also constantly striving to improve their structural build, giving each litter a better chance for a comfortable quality of life.

Being a small hobby breeder, we do not consider how many puppies we produce, but what kind of puppies we put out into homes, lives, and the world. When you purchase a puppy from us, you are getting a family member, a friend, a helper, a lifeline. Therefore, they must be strong in mind and body. When we raise a litter of puppies or a single puppy, they are introduced to all sounds, all types of touching from children and adults, many different textures, and even crate and potty training. Raising our puppies inside gives you an advantage due to all the development tasks they have already received. If you start training right away, you will have the opportunity for great success!

We will send you home not only with a puppy ready to take on life, but our tricks and tips on how to raise the best puppy possible. Information on everything from food and supplements to training, growth, and joint health. A bag with necessities to start you and your pup out right.
